I am new in Corel. I need solve two problems: I want make a simple label with barcode. Label background need be yellow. Corel have a Barcode Wizard utility, but it generates bars on a white background, whereas I need need all on yellow background. Is there a workaround?
Second thing: I need import in Corel one jpeg image, that is almost a shape and edit it to make it fully black/white shape (skeleton), fully vectorized and sharp. How to make this? Please provide step-by-step instructions how to solve this tasks correctly.

As I recall, a message appears at some point which asks if you'd like to copy the barcode to the pasteboard. You can then paste the barcode on the page as art instead of as a barcode object. You should then be able to ungroup the barcode and remove the white background. This may be an option in an older version, though. The biggest problem with this procedure is that you can't modify the code afterward, you must recreate it.
If that doesn't work, try exporting the barcode as an Illustrator 1.1 file and then open the Illustrator 1.1 file in CorelDRAW. This should also result in a barcode as art which you can ungroup and manipulate separately.

1. Corel's barcode wizard includes the clear zone around the bar code. The bar code must have a white background which extends a specific distance around the barcode. The wizard includes a white box to the correct dimensions. A barcode on a yellow background is invalid.
2. Corel has a trace function for creating vectors from a raster image. It's never been good enough for my use, nor has any other tracing program for that matter. I always end up manually drawing vectors using the image as a template. I'm sure it's good enough for some less discerning users, though, perhaps good enough for your application. Corel has an excellent Help resource if you need assistance. Unfortunately, my current employer doesn't have CorelDRAW so I have nothing to refer to.
