They change printer properties on the printer itself, not within Corel I believe
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsCoreldraw X4 users are experiencing a problem trying to print Landscape. In Print Preview, printer property is set to "Landscape" but when print job is submitted, actual output is not Landscape, but Portrait. Users have reported problem can be fixed by rebooting computer, but problem will occur again later.
This problem only started occurring with versions X3 and X4.
Is there a way to get print output match preview orientiation? (without having to reboot).
Problem happens to multiple Corel X4 users and to different printers. No newer Corel patches are available and latest print drivers are installed locally. Printers are GCC Elite XL series, and are networked, but mapped to local TCP-IP ports. Users are members of Local Admin group, so control of print properties should not be a factor. I have been unable to locate a "compatible printer list" for Corel, if printer models could be a factor.

The problem is consistent to all Corel users (meaning just 2). They print from Print Preview within Corel. There have been other print problems from Corel X4, but to a different printer. I believe the problem is most likely an incompatibility between model of GCC Technologies printer and Corel X4, and not really a fault that can be fixed. We are looking at replacement printer options. Thanks for your help.

Are your users actually setting the printer to Landscape before they print? Or are they just depending on Corel to control the printer? My experience is that Corel won't -- especially if they are HP printers.
