The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Maths - sin, cos and tan

I need to know some Trigonometry. I don't remember it from high school, that was 7 years ago. Basically I will give 500 points to someone who can explain in simple terms what these three are / do and there uses to determine angles in flash. I have been to lots of maths links including flashkit and were-here. I have been to lots of trig links and they were some help but I want it in relation to flash.

My actionscript is good so you don't have to explain like I'm a beginner but I haven't touched maths since uni so go easy.

If the answer is good, i will give more than 500 points too.
