I get that but how do I import it? It won't let me just import a JPEG. Is there some sort of setup I need to do?
I've tried to drag and drop like Photoshop but that won't work.

You don't just open an image in LightRoom - you need to import it first. Once it's in LightRoom, you just edit it.
