Lightroom- how to change the order of the images (without renaming the files)

I'd like to switch the order of images in my Web Portfolio (HTML gallery)  output.
I'm willing to do the switch in the Library Thumbnails or wherever it's possible to re order them.
I tried dragging the thumbnails but nothing happens.

tips?

Hi!  To change the order of the images, switch over to the Grid View.  In "Sort By," select "User Order."  Then you do drag them around, but not on the grid (like you'd think / at least I would), but down on the bottom where you have all of your thumbnails.  Move your thumbs around and the change will be reflected in the web gallery.

Addendum... you can drag the images around in grid mode after all... you just have to click and drag the image itself, as opposed to the frame that surrounds it.  

Also... if you have more than one folder selected (or a composite/parent folder view), you may not change the order of the files.  You have to have a single folder selected - at least, that's how it seems to be working for me.
