The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Hello Expert,

I've design an magnet mock up in Adobe Photoshop and saved under .PSD.  As a resolution 150.  The size of my magnet is
Document Size:       W:  3.5 Inches
H:  2 Inches      Which are the size of the magnet to print as a final goal
                  Resolution: 150 Pixel/inches
FYI, as pixel dimensions I got this:
                              W: 525 Pixels
                              H:  300 Pixels
Finaly I've saved as .PSD (as you know too many lawyers...)

So my friendly expert, here is my question for you based on your professional expertise, please I need your help.

I've sent this magnet mock up as .JPG format to the printer to printed, I've got this answer back by email.

just spoke with the company who will be producing our magnets. They would like us to save the magnet mock up file in a "vectorized file in CMYK" instead of a jpeg file so that they are able to separate each element in the file (photos, logos, text font and colours etc) so that it is easier for them to reproduce the magnet accurately.

What I should do and which software I should use.  I have adobe creative suite CS.   What is 'Vectorized file in CMYK'.

A. Which format i should use to save.
B. Which programs I should use please.
C. And under NEW -< File --> Color Mode CYMK -> 8 bit or 16 bit and the dimensions.  As for Resolution i'm looking for 300.

Please advice. God bless you.
