while without writing a custom script you cannot just export your layers as seperate png files fear not i have a great solution.
rt layers to files to be able to do this in jpg or other image formats. what i like to do when automating png exports with transperency is to go about creating various layer comps which i then can get a better honed in way of exporting just what i want to png. goto...window....and click on layer comps. when the layer comps comes on goto create new layer comp and check off all the options for visibility position etc. this is nice cause u can create various compositions and later export easily with a script to show your client, import to flash or another software program.
goto file....scripts.......expo
from here you can turn on a layer comp and goto file save for web. png 24, and turn on transperency and into flash with no background you go.
