possible to make an action that auto types text from a file?

is it possible to make an action that will automatically type from a line in a file and then save... then open a new file and type the next line from the file? basically just generating several images each one containing the text from a single line from the file...

I don't know that you can do what you want in Photoshop, but you should be able to with ImageMagick (http://www.imagemagick.org). Here's a description / tutorial of the text -> image capabiliites of ImageMagick: http://www.cit.gu.edu.au/~anthony/graphics/imagick6/text/

Unknown to most, you can run JavaScripts from within Photoshop (CS1+), see examples here:

http://www.rags-int-inc.com/PhotoTechStuff/PscsScripts/

This might be the right moment to brush up on those JavaScripting skills. You should be able to do what you want with a clever little script. I'm not proficient enough to write one here, but I know it can be done.

I recommend

SPLIT -> Dearsina and LHerrou

We provided two different routes to achieve the Asker's goal, and while perhaps it was not a complete solution in either case (we didn't walk the Asker through the steps), we were here to elaborate on our answers should the Asker have come back for more information. Furthermore, this is useful information to have in the PAQ database.
