enlarge Open and Save Windows

One of my pet peeves with Photoshop is the apparently enforced default size (normal). Given the number of files in each of the folders I access, anything less than maximized is unsatisfactory. I have to stretch the windows manually every time I run Photoshop, and there doesn't seem to be any way of having my preferences persist.

I think the open and save dialog is from the operating system, not really part of photoshop.
I'm not sure if you can change the default size... yea it would be really good if it can be changed.

CTRL+O
enlarge the dialogue box to the desired size
hold down the Ctrl key and close the box with the mouse button by clicking on the "x" button on the top right corner
it should remember the open dialogue box settings now :)
