Mask out blue background in Photoshop CS2?

I have a photo of someone taken in front of a plain blue background for an ID badge.  Now I need to "re-use" the photo, but put the subject in front of another background.  In Photoshop, it seems that there should be a straightforward way to remove the blue background without having to painstakingly erase around the subject's hair (she has shoulder-length hair with some wisps and such that stick out).
