Well I was using my schools wifi, but I was using my own laptop.
The file size was 44kb, I changed my file to a .tif but it didn't work. I dont have imageready since I am using CS2

Browse All TopicsI have a problem with opening up a .psd file. It says "Could not complete your request because the file is empty". I was working on an Art project and save the file. Well I restarted my Mac and went to open it and that came up. I wasn't having problems before but now I don't know what to do.

most porbably the file got corrupted during the saving process.

Have a try to open other .psd files in your machine and if you dont get the same error then that specific file you mentioned is maybe corrupted.
44kb size is not normal for psd files except if you are having very small image size.
This would be a good way to isolate the cause of your problem.

Not sure what really is causing that.
were you working on a network by any chance ?
What is the size of the psd file ? if its in just a few kb's then you have probably lost your psd data.
If the file size is fine, try these steps.
Try opening the psd in imageready.
Try changing the extention to .tif and open.
Try importing your artwork psd into a new psd as a smart object.
then double click and try to edit it.
Download The GIMP and try to open the psd.
