Photoshop added Unicode support to it's CS versions. You have to upgrade. Sorry. but hey, you needed an excuse to upgrade anyway right?
> Knonie... Photoshop sticks it to you if you want to type left to right script. If you are trying to set type in Arabic, Hebrew, or one of the other left to right script languages, you have to buy the Middle Eastern version of Photoshop.
I have to set type in 12 different languages at my work. Instead of shelling out $1100 USD for the Middle Eastern Version, I set my type in Microsoft Word and do a screen grab and paste the type in as a graphic. The method is clumsy, but it's the only work around that I have found so far.

This happens with, I think, all the foreign languages characters, as I tried that with Arabic.
You can type Arabic in MS Word perfectly, but when you paste the text, the character direction is reversed.
e.g. Suppose 1, 2, 3, 4 are Arabic Alphabets, and I have typed 1234 in MS Word. When I paste that in PS, it becomes 4321.
I don't think so if it can be fixed...
