I need to help a user with a Photoshop CS2 problem.
Sometime, when he work on a project and he change the font size to 18 he get this message:
Could not complete the request because of a program error
I have successfully reproduced the error on an other computer with the same project.
If I install only Photoshop CS2 there is no problem except the font (Myriad Pro) is missing.
After installing Adobe Illustrator CS2, I open the same project with Photoshop and I don't get any warning about the missing font but if I try to change the font size over 18 I'm always getting the same error and Photoshop is closing.
Somebody can help me please?

It is usually a Memory issue.
What is the size of the project file?
Try to open a new document, try the font size change. If it diddn't show the error, the project file may be too large enough to use your system resources and increasing the font size to that level will overload your system. Perhaps that is causing the problem.
Increasing the RAM is indeed a good move. Or try to open the same project in a higher specs machine.

If the font is there, it's there... The fonts are vectors; if it works at one size it should work at any size.
It's also hard to imagine a block of font causing a memory issue, unless it's a very large block of font (lots of characters). It's possible in that case that changing the size could be processor intensive.
The only other thought I have here...
I have noticed a goofy bug in CS2 (at least on my install of it) where doing certain things on certain files will reliably cause a crash. It doesn't seem to be anything related to memory etc... But re-opening that file and attempting the same thing will cause a crash again. It's never one specific operation that causes it. It will be a different operation for every file that it happens on, but once it happens it will always be the same operation that causes a problem for that file.
The solution I've found for that: Copy everything in the file, create a new PSD with the same pixel dimensions, color space, etc... and paste it all into the new one. Then save.
Something must get corrupted somewhere in the PSD and copying all of the contents of your image into a new PSD will fix that.

My test computer is a Core2 Duo 2.8 Ghz and 2 GB of RAM with Windows XP Pro 32 bits.
I increased the computer RAM from 2 GB to 3 GB and I gave more RAM resource to Photoshop (90%) and the problem persist. I try with different font like Arial and I got the same error. I have this problem on different project size between 5 MB to 60 MB.
I'm gonna ask the user to do the last test and if it's the problem, is there a fix for this bug?

i suggest to try another font
and be sure to give the photoshop more RAM resource, ctrl+k, and and change from Performance.
please tell me the result
