First off, it seems a bit odd to convert pagemaker files to photoshop, so I am assuming they were actually created to Indesign. (there are multiple applications in CS3 depending upon WHICH CS3 package you have - to get the best help you should be as specific as possible about what software is doing what and not make assumptions.
Second, this sounds like a color management issue(s). Most likely, there is a conflict between color profiles so we need more information about how your color management is set up.
