Photoshop Datasets to Jpeg

I've created a graphic and a data set in photoshop cs4

I've found the command to export the data sets to a file "File / Export / Data Sets as Files"

but this just creates lots of .PSD files.

I'd like to create lots of .gif or.jpg files as graphics.

is there an easy way to do this via automation - I need to create a couple of hundred jpg graphics ?

You need to set up a custom Action to do that. It is very simple. Then you can Batch entire folders at one click of a button.
Here is a tutorial on how to create actions in Photoshop.

There is this kind of feature already in Adobe Bridge, where you can batch convert PSD files (or other files) and  save them as Jpeg.

Tools / Photoshop / Image Processor

I just can't believe that the only thing you can automatically save all Data Sets to is a PSD file. Think Adobe have missed something massive here.
Data sets are so amazingly powerful but this seems to have been missed out completely.

I've managed to do this using Adobe Bridge.
