HOW DO I IMPORT A PHOTOSHOP CS3 DUOTONE INTO QUARKXPRESS 7.5

I am making phtoshop duotones, saving as psd file because if I save it as a photoshop eps I get a white box around it.Quark says it does not recognize the format when I import the psd duotone.  If I import the eps as I said it has a white box.
