Paint Shop Pro XI Update not working with Vista

I can't get my Paint Shop Pro XI Update working with Vista. I get as far as the "update" button on the update wizard screen, but then it fails with: your update was not installed/uninstallation of the update is not supported. I click "view log file" but nothing happens.

Here are some entries from Windows Event Viewer:

Product: Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI -- Installation failed.

Windows Installer installed the product. Product Name: Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo XI. Product Version: 11.00.0000. Product Language: 1033. Installation success or error status: 1646.
