Using PSP X2. I have an image with an added rectangle (raster layer).
How can I fill the rectangle with either a pattern or a very light grey colour and also make the box semi-transparent?
I have tried adjusting the opacity of the rectangle but no luck.
Thanks.

This should be possible by adjusting the transparency of the entire layer in the layers dialog box, and then merging the result back down.
If you want differing transparencies for the box and the fill, create yet another layer, then on the box layer select its interior, then in the new layer fill it. Then adjust the transparencies of the different layers separately, then merge.
For experiments, you can selectively make layers invisible and merge all visible.
