I have a couple of clients who receive a red x instead of an image when receiving e-mails. The images are jpegs. However if the user reply's to or forwards the e-mail they are able to see the image. I already allowed the option to "automatically download pictures" under the security tab. I have also run detect and repair utility from outlook and also from add/remove programs. One user was temporarily fixed by re-creating her desktop profile, but the problem has resurfaced.
