What are the ideal system requirements for desktop publishing?

Our marketing manager currently uses a laptop with 1.5GB of RAM, cant' remember the CPU, and hard drive space is under 100GB. It's not exactly the best performer for Adobe CS3 or Quark. In fact it's become so slow that it's almost intorlerable.

So, we want to replace it. Adobe's reccommendations seem like they are minimal. http://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/design/systemreqs/

I've been quoted on an HP xw4600 workstation with an E6550 cpu, 2gb of RAM, 250 gb drive.

But, should I go for more?

Computer is also used for MS Office and that's about it.
