Hi Sam,
I assume you need a PNG file, because you need the images to be on a transparent background.
In Photoshop you could open the JPEG and quickly remove the white background with the magic wand tool. In Photoshop CS3, the new refine edges tool works very well too, to clean up any ragged edges. Then you could save the graphic as a PNG file.

Because they are so easily made, I doubt that you can find them available. but on the other hand, It amazes me what you CAN find on the internet.
If you do not have a program capable of saving a PNG file, you can download a copy of Gimp at http://www.gimp.org/ or go to Photoshop.com and use the online application.
Then, create a canvas the size of the letter that you want, type in your letter and save as a png.
If you need different letter styles than the ones that you have on your computer, you can download free fonts from many places such as http://www.dafont.com/
