The problem is with your light setup. The light box is designed to diffuse light. In this case you want some more direct lighting to give you the needed highlights.
Stick with the same setup you have, and try adding one more light in front of the piece, about 30 degrees up and 30 degrees to either side. If you really want to get fancy, you might try one more light 30 degrees to the other side at half the intensity.

The major difference I see between the photos is in the reflections. For Photo A, the camera and lights are positioned to produce a nice reflection from a light coming from the side of and above the product. This brings out the reflection so you can see it's shiny material, and all the little ridges in the metal. From the broad - rather than pin-point - look of the light in the reflection, it looks like a softbox or reflection off a foamcore board was used on that side. Judging from the nice shiny return along the edge closest to the camera, there was probably a second light to the left side of and a bit behind the photographer - this one wasn't as strong as the one to the right of the product, so you get reflections, but the shadow remains.
