Convert PNG to 565 raw image or to RGB raw image by GIMP

Hi,
I have GIMP version 2.2.13 under Linux. I need to convert PNG image to raw 565 image.
Is it possible and how ?
If not then how to convert it to raw RGB from command-line ?

GIMP does not support working in RGB565 mode, but you can convert into raw RGB by using the ImageMagick utility 'convert' like this:

convert image.png -format RGB image.rgb
