Browse All TopicsI have a tileset and i want to assemble tiles to make a grass platform, where i walk on the land basically, forest land and snow land. The problem is I need to put together tiles about 64X64 and with gimp2 or fireworks 8 how do i do this?

You can use Image > Scale Image to get Mario larger (200%), but in that case new points have to be calculated, and this never look very good.
Maybe you could make background 50% smaller to fit Mario?
Regarding jumping and walking... you can put your background first, and then Mario in various phases. How to do animation with background and layers which are shown one after another is described on the page http://www.gimp.org/tutori

As far as I can understand, you already have tiles, so, your problem is not to make tiles (cut them from the image you've sent us). Your problem is to put tiles on the picture...
Image > Configure Grid allows you to define grid for a picture (Edit > Preferences > Default Grid for all images). Put 64 as spacing.
Then set View > Show Grid and View > Snap to Grid.
After pasting tiles this will allow you to put them orderly on the result picture.
Or do you have another problem?
