My logo has the jaggies - how can I smooth it out?

I have a black-and-white logo saved in both .JPG and .BMP formats. When I try to enlarge the logo, it shows up with jaggies. I thought that a JPEG logo would zoom smoothly, but mine does not seem to do so.

How can I fix my logo so I can resize it with the edges remaining smooth? If I need to convert the image (from raster to vector?), is there a program that will do this effectively, with minimum post-conversion cleanup?

Thanks in advance.Start Free Trial
