cause you can always select the image type you'd like to use (ie:.jpg, .gif...) then use the slider to grab the correct dpi setting.
example, click a pic, on optimize tab, choose "jpeg - better quality", then use the little slider dealie to select the dpi you'd like
to hit the whole canvas, goto:
modify>canvas>image size
there is a setting in there that will make global dpi changes if you'd like

Hello livegirlie,
you can click on your image, and on the optimize tab to the right of the canvas there is a place where you can define the quality of the outputted image. do you need a way to specify exact dpi?
