Browse All TopicsI would like to make available lots of audio files that would stream on demand. These files would be long. WOuld Flash make it possible to stream them without expecting download problems, such as time and all? This would be sort of a radio broadcast format but entirely preorganized. Listeners would be able to change "frequency" and get a different format (file) for each "station". Whaddaya tink? Thanks.

Import your sound, in the frame you want the sound to start. Double click to get the frame properties, then select sound and set to stream.
On export chose your mp3 conv rate, i ussually run at 20kpbs stereo of of a 44khz 16 bit .aiff
This will give you about 800-900k for 4 mins.
Or you can load these audio files in a "load movie" and then start them with buttons etc in level0....make a small interface 50-100k and call your tracks in as you need them.

Go to alt.macromedia.flash and ask your question. A regular there called Kris (an amazingly gifted individual - artistically and technically) is working on a project just like yours.
