Another solution is to make an empty keyframe in ur sounds movie and use a onrollover command on ur nav menu to tell that movie to go to the empty frame and a onrollout to start again

Browse All TopicsIs it possible to disable the sounds of a movie from another movie? I have a navigational menu that makes sounds when rollover it. This menu appears throughout the entire site.
The problem is that, on the main page, there is another Flash movie that has sounds. This movie will loop infinitely and so will its sound (unless disabled by the user though its interface). I do not want the two sounds clashing.
It would be easy for me to just make another version of the navigational menu without the sound effects, but I would rather just have one so that it can lessen download time.
Is there a way to accomplish this?

I'm not sure if this works but try:
movieName.stopAllSounds();
