Sorry, this line: "You can rotate or skew pngs in flash without making them fuzzy." should have said you CAN'T rotate...

I've got some bevelled, lined text created in photoshop that i'm attempting to animate by letter.
However, my .png's come out looking quite furry.
Any ideas? When I open the png's back up in photoshop, they look fiine. I've up'd the default image compression in flash from 50 to 80, but that hasn't helped.
Thanks
Aidan

Hi
First of all you need to get rid of all the compression.
For each of your pngs in the library: Right click - choose properties - In the compression drop down choose Lossless(png/gif)
That's probably the least of your problems though...
You can rotate or skew pngs in flash without making them fuzzy.
If you need to rotate them, you should trace them to turn them into vector art.
To trace a png go to Modify=>Bitmap=>Trace Bitmap
Set the threshold to 50 to start, if you don't like the way it comes out you can increase the quality by LOWERING the threshold.
You can get fairly close to any effect in Flash that you can do in Photoshop. You should always do as much of your drawing as possible in Flash. The only way to get perfect quality is with vector graphics.
