Problem with Graphics Bitmap in Flash 8 -- pixelated text
I have this strange problem in Flash 8
I imported pages(jpegs) of a book into flash 8. The pages contain lotsa text. When i export as swf, the text become very pixelated and jagged. I had to smooth each page in the library.
However the smoothing is blurring the text.
However, the same action done in Flash MX2004 doesnt generate the same problem. My text in Flash mx2004 is crisp and clear. Apparently i just had to switch to save my fla as mx2004 and export it and it will be crisp and clear without having to smooth the jpegs.
Why is this so? anyone has the same problem before and any idea?

Using smooth bitmap wouldnt solve the problem because it just makes the bitmap more blurred. The solution could be one or combination of the following:
1) Flash scales down the JPEG if its too big. Press Ctrl+T (Win) and set the transform to 100% - 100% if it is not so.
2) Goto File > Publish Settings... > Flash - Set the JPEG Quality to 100 and test the movie.
If both of these didnt help upload the file somewhere and let me know.
