Flash Horizontal Photo Slideshow (Looping Background)
Hi,
I am trying to create a Flash photo slideshow where a set number of images scroll by horizontally, like the one on this link (above The Simpsons photo):
http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewprofile&friendid=16241738
I am a Flash beginner and have not yet figured this out. Please provide the actual steps on how to do this. I'm not interested in templates, wizards, or any other shortcuts. The photos must scroll one after the other and after the last photo, the first one must follow it right afterwards (infinite horizontal scroll). I believe another name for this is "looping background."
I am using Flash 8.
Thanks for your help.

sibgig, neither of those examples are like what I'm trying to create. This example is pretty close:

The only difference is that I want 3 different images to scroll by. I can't figure it out for the life of me.

your example is just about what you are looking for. you just need to improvise a bit and instead of using one large background image, just divide it up into three. i drummed this up quickly for you. pick it apart and you'll get the idea. if not let me know.

I opened and tested your example. It pretty much does exactly what I was looking for.
I tried disecting it, but being the total Flash newb that I am there were several things I don't get. Like, why the need for two frames? Also, it seems you used a tweened motion as another scene, which confused me. What is the advantage of converting an image to a movie clip?
If you could just go over it step by step, so that I can recreate it.
