Thanks. However, I realize I missed out one factor (sorry!) -
I am running on Mac OSX, so the solution needs to run on OSX.
Main Topics
Browse All TopicsWe hired a company to do a Flash website for us many years ago, but now need to remove some items from the Flash swf's. We don't have the source code for this (Explore the Taj Mahal) even though we do have source code for other sites they did for us.
It seems to me the simplest way to remove/change a few items is to "un-compile" the SWFs, remove the items, and re-compile.
What's the best way to do this:
a) Un-compiler application (recommend the best ones, please)
b) Re-edit in Flash (I can do this)
c) Re-compile (is this possible?)
Thanks

There are a number of Flash decompilers, some of which will also generate an FLA. A good one is available at http://www.sothink.com/
