datagrid scoller not showing

I'm trying to get the scrollbar for my datagrid to show. The data is populating ok but the datagrid is not recognized that the rows are exceeding the height of the object. The vscrollbar never shows and when it set vScrollPolicy to on the scrollbar is the but there are no arrows.

The code below sets the properties for the DataGrid 'dg' in the 'links' movieclip.
