Sending Flash var to PHP-login page

Hi fellas,

I'm trying to send my password from Flash button to a password-protected php page. (the page will not display unless password is received from Flash).

Scenario:

I am creating a Flash application:

- I want to set a password in my flash button, then pass it to a php-login page.
- The php-login page will receive the password, automate this request and proceed to displaying the contents, if not, they will see a "Unauthorised" error. (the user wouldnt even realised that there is an authentication going on.)

Flowchart:

Flash send password to php ---> php verify password is correct ---> display secure contents on php page



fyi.. i am using this PHP to secure the page :  http://www.zubrag.com/scripts/password-protect.php - which shows the login info as this;

the thing is, i want Flash to send this login id and password - and not being defined las shown above.




I've been googling for 2 days now and my ears are oozing out green brain juice.. so any help is very much appreciated guys..
