The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Adobe Flash Player installed but not working/installed in one out of 3 Vista user accounts

Asked by NigelRi in Adobe Flash, Windows Vista

Hi,
I can't player any youtude et al videos - says I have javascript off or need latest AFP.
Been like this weeks and weeks - BUT ONLY in my User Account of our family PC.

Our Vista Home Premium SP2 up-to-date PC has 3 (Administrator level) user account, one for me, one for wife and one for daughter.   Wife & daughter can play youtube videos, I cannot.

Why is there a problem with my Vista user a/c only?

I must have been through every Abode tech help action and done them all.
I must have looked a a dozen or more solutions here, and done them all.
I've unistalled and installed. I've run in Administator. I've just installed and I've downloaded Stand-Alone and installed. I've unistalled /clean using the Adbobe Uninstaller.  I've reset permissions using scripts. I've checked java (I think) .. but I run Vista Home Premium and IE8 so I think java taken as red.  This problem was there with IE7 and remains in IE8.  Every and all time when I've re-installed AFP seems to be installed OK - the S/A installation completes, the program is listed as installed in Control Panel and can be unistalled from there or with the Uninstaller - so it really seems to be installed .
BUT back at youtube or any site with video, alwayes I get no video and a message saying I need the Flash Player installed!

But my wife and daughter have no probs, all works, in their Vista user a/cs.

AAAGGH!  Help? please.  regards, Nigel
