Picture Publisher 7 and NT

I have installed Micrografx Picture Publisher 7.0a on Windows NT 4.0 Workstation (Service Pack 4). When I start it as a normal User PP will crash with a page fault when I open the Effects dialog. This does not happen when I use it as 'Administrator'. The problem even remains when I put my normal account into the Administrators group.

I have tried several suggested solutions, including giving my normal account full rights to any file on the system, copying registry keys from the administrator's account, ... nothing worked.

Any suggestions?
