A fancy title or a combination would be great. The trouble is that school is out for another month.

Browse All TopicsMy wife and I are currently in the process of making a flier and she said it would look nice with a logo. The name is "Health Care Education,LLC" and it's going to (hopfully) be a business where my wife gives healtcare seminars to nurses and staff. I tried playing with photoshop but I am not very artistic. The part that will turn most people off to this is that we are strapped for cash. I am hoping there is someone who loves to play and can come up with something or lead me in a direction of someone who can help us for free. Can anyone help?

You could try one of the free logo generator sites on the net. You type in your text, then choose a font, style ("chiseled," "inset," "liquid" etc.), plus other settings...size, color, etc.
They're meant for creating logos and button art for web sites, but you can always open them in Photoshop and scale them up in size and resolution. (Might take a little sharpening to get them to look right when you're done.)

A couple more tips: See if you can create the logo at a huge size (like 3 x the size of what you want), then you can resize it down in Photoshop (turn off Resample in Image Size) so it increases the resolution. For a logo you really need high resolution, as close to 300 as you can get. (Actually it's better to do it in Illustrator or Freehand so you can resize it at will without worrying about resolution, but it sounds like you're okay with using Photoshop for this).
Also, some of these sites have a character limit for your business name. (One of them allows you to type in "\n" to stand in for a line break for a multi-line logo, though...check their FAQx). If you need to get it all in then create two logos and merge them into one file in Photoshop.
Finally you might try iPrint:

This site not only lets you design a logo (for *print*) but also lets you order biz cards, letterhead, etc. right on-line. Once your receive your stuff you could scan the logo and/or just copy/past it for your flyers.

are you looking for graphics or just a fancy way of displaying the title? combination?
is there a local college? maybe you could talk to a art/graphics professor and this could be a student project - teachers are always looking for something new to challenge students. Even maybe a highschool class...
