I have Microsoft Media Player v7 installed and am trying to do a frame-capture from an MPEG video ...
When I do a capture from a graphics program such as Paint Shop Pro 5 to do a screen capture or area capture, the area where the video is seems to be captured as a black square ...
It seems that when the video is displayed on the screen by the Media Player, it is done so in a screen "layer" so is not actually "on" the screen but is "floating" above the media player window area ...
Can anybody please help ??

Hmm ... this worked okay, but I want to be able to do a full screen (ie: 1024x768) capture. Also, this software put an icon at the top right of the picture .... Any ideas where I can get a grabber that will grab full screen and won't put that icon at the top of the screen ?

I think that the program you downloaded first put the icon in the corner because it's shareware. The icon will probably go away if you buy it.

I think that the MPEG video playing in another application would constitue being on a different layer. I don't think you can capture video using Media Player, but you can with other applications. Why don't you try this one, you can download for a free trial basis and if you decide to keep it, you only pay $20.00.
