How to repair a corrupted tif image?

I'm trying to find out how to repair some corrupted tif files. They appear to be corrupt as a result of a failure of the Server on which they were stored.  This was a server with a RAID Mirror setup an one of the RAID discs failed.  

The images are digital X-rays and are therefore very valuable to the practice where they were taken. They can be opened with a simple viewer but not with the digital XRay software.
(When opened with a viewer the images have lines across them).

Any advice or links to software appreciated.
