How to temporarily disable Domain Controller Services

I have a domain controller called DC1 that needs to temporarily reside in the same subnet as another domain.  I want to make sure that the DC1 domain controller does not broadcast any DC related services.  Is there a way to do this without performing a DCPromo, which is not an option.

You can stop the AD services in 2008; you can also disable replication   http://blog.scottlowe.org/2006/08/02/disabling-ad-replication/

You can also stop the DNS services.

Thanks

How do I stop AD services in AD with Windows server 2008?

The link talks about disabling replication for a Windows Server 2000 server.  Does this apply to 2008, or is it completely different?  We're purely 2008 R2.

Also, I don't see anything specific to stopping DNS services.  I suspect that it's not as simple as stopping the actual DNS service on the server.

OK, I see it now.  I'll give it a shot and get back to you.
Domain controllers don't broadcast anything besides NetBIOS browse master information. You only need to turn off DHCP Server. Don't stop DNS or you DC won't run properly.
Is your goal here for other clients to still be able to use the DC as a DC....just looking at hte question again.  If they do need it leave AD and DNS running.

Thanks, mkline71.  You were the first to provide the solution (and it worked very well) so I'll give you the points.  Sorry for taking so long to get back.
