ASP.NET 2.0 not listed in Web Service Extensions

I have an IIS 6 server with ASP.NET installed and .NET frameworks 2 and 3. I'm trying to host a WCF service on the server. When I display the list of Web Service Extensions in IIS Manager ASP.NET v1.1.4322 is listed but ASP.NET 2.0.50727 is not. What have I done wrong? How do I get ASP.NET 2.0 displayed so that I can enable it? Thanks.

download the latest version from 'www.asp.net' and run the installer.

Try this and change the version to the latest one you have on your computer in the Framework directory. You will also need to change the 1 after w3svc to match the number of your website. You can determine this by going to properties of the website in IIS, looking at the log file and it will have the number for your site.

\WINDOWS\MICROSOFT.NET\FRAMEWORK\V2.0.50727\aspnet _regiis.exe -s "w3svc/1/ROOT/YourApp"

Thanks to both of you for the efforts but we are still a no-go.

Tried the sfc /scannow from an earlier post on this site and it failed to solve the problems.  The link list above is no longer valid.

Looks like I have stumped the experts...
