I am sure there are plug- ins to enable running a dynamo server within eclipse to enable debugging and avoid the tedious process of copying class files back and forth.
Any help on the installing the dynamo server in eclipse appreciated. Note: I already have the ATG plugins installed but cant seem to install and get the server running.

No, there is no way of running dynamo from eclipse right now. And since Dynamo Application Server support has also ended, I don't think it will ever happen in future also.
So, if you are looking for future development, you will have to shift to some current supported AS by ATG, Mostly, JBoss is best for development perpose.
Ok I found a work around for this problem. Posting to help any future seekers for a solution to this.
I used the Java remote debugger to run the code base in Eclipse in debug mode. There is a remote debugger option in Eclipse: Run->Debug ->Remote Java Application. Chose the project you want to run, give the debug port number say 7777.
Now while starting the corresponding project in dynamo/ATG server give a debug option at command prompt:
bin\startDynamo myProjectName-debug -debugPort 7777
Works like a charm, but you have make sure the code base in Eclipse matches the jar file (class files) ATG server is using.
