I am running a web server locally on Windows XP (using tomcat 5.5.20). It works just fine and verify by going to localhost using IE.
I have to use a proxy server for my custom app and it was mandated that FoxyProxy plugin for Firefox be used. Here are the FoxyProxy proxy settings;
Enalbed
Checked Animate icons when proxy in use
Checked Include the proxy when cycling proxies by ....

Checked - Manual Proxy Configuration
Host name 127.0.0.1 port 8008
Patterns Tab
Pattern name = somename
URL pattern -
http://* Pattern - Wildcrards
URL inclusion/Exclusiion - Whitelist
These settings work on other machines with the same configuration. But, I keep getting "Proxy Server is Refusing Connections" on the Firefox browser.
