Hi,
no security data is stored inside the config.xml file.
When you have created your domain :
1. did you use the configuration wizzard ?
2. did you specify a new login/password combination ?

hi,
following a snipet from the bea documentation concerning password recovery
Recovering Administrator Password
When using the default authenticator, if you have not modified the global admin role (which, by default is granted to the administrators group), you can recover the administrator password in a WebLogic domain.
To recover the administrator password in a WebLogic domain:
* At the command line, change directory to the domain and run the setEnv script to set the PATH and CLASSPATH.
* Create a new DefaultAuthenticatorInit.l
* Remove the initialized status file, DefaultAuthenticatormyreal
* Restart the server, using the new user identity.
* To change the old admin user identity, log into the admin console. (Optional)
