You dont need to deploy a topic in weblogic 10.3. Instead, you configure a JMS topic and point it to the appropriate JMS server.

Most of these are already covered nicely in weblogic documentation. I would highly encourage you to go through the following

Can not find the runtime information of this JMS destination.

When I go to JMSTopic --> Monitoring --> Durable Subscribers

I got the following error. What does this mean

There are many reasons why the system can not find the destination runtime. The followings are some common causes:

    * this destination is not targeted to a JMS server
    * this destination is targeted to a JMS server, but the JMS server is not targeted to a server or a migratable target
    * the JMS module of this destination is not targeted to a server or a cluster
    * any targeting of the above entites are not activated

Can you post your config.xml and there has to be one more XML file pertainig to your JMS in weblogic domain--> config folder.

If you are in doubt, you simply search for all XML in config folder of weblogic domain and attach them here.

by: CharanRPosted on 2009-08-27 at 14:38:22ID: 25202982

The first code is config.xml and the second code is related to jms

Thanks,

The  config files look good. They have been properly targetted to the JMS server and the JMS server is targetted to the weblogic server. I do not see any issue with config files.

Let me see the other logs you have attached.

ibu-shared.log - Clearly shows your JMS server itself is not opened and hence the issue.

weblogic.messaging.kernel.KernelException: The Messaging Kernel EnbrelJMSServer has not yet been opened

      at weblogic.messaging.kernel.internal.DestinationImpl.resume(DestinationImpl.java:264)

Can you paste what you see in the JMSServer page?. Following will give you what to do.

Can you make the following change in your config.xml and restart weblogic?

<jms-server>
    <name>EnbrelJMSServer</name>
    <target>ibu-sharedMS0120007</target>
</jms-server>

Basically we are turning off PersistentStore here. First let it start working in non-persistent mode and then if required we would make it to persistent mode.

Can you disable the persistence store as discussed in the earlier thread?

by: CharanRPosted on 2009-08-27 at 20:49:41ID: 25204857

after removing persistent store

Now, the client is McKesson where do we define the host address because McKesson is not local

Now I'm able to see the Durable subscribers too

look at the below url

by: CharanRPosted on 2009-08-27 at 20:56:59ID: 25204881

What is the reason for this?
Why was I able to get the durable subscribers after removing the Persistent store

Now, What is the next thing to do

by: rajesh_balaPosted on 2009-08-27 at 21:00:43ID: 25204889

I am failing to understand your comment.

The reason for making this change - Sometimes if the persistence store is not properly configured or corrupt, it will not let the JMS server to come up properly. That is the reason, I wanted to check by disabling persistence and making it non-persistant mode.

What is the output of making the above change?

by: rajesh_balaPosted on 2009-08-27 at 21:01:48ID: 25204891

Moreover, there is an issue in 10.x of weblogic in similar lines. This seems to work fine in 9.x of weblogic. So I wanted to eliminate that factor as well.

So this is working. Did you try sending a message and retrieve it programatically or some sort of test?

Just to ensure that all these are properly running.

Also, I dont understand your following statement. Can you be more specific?

>> Now, the client is McKesson where do we define the host address because McKesson is not loca
