Run Was 4.03 on XP Pro every day no problems.... I have 512 meg... Had no problems on installation...

Browse All TopicsMy current operating system is Windows XP professional.I am required to install Websphere App Server 4.0 on this. Should i get my system changed to Windows 2000 because i cannot have a RAM of more than 512 MB.
In case this updation to Windows 2000 is not required then would the installation proceed smooth on Windows XP professsional and 512 MB RAM

I haven't met or heard anyone who has installed WebSphere 4.x.x successfully on Windows XP Pro.

I know it's not the solution you want to hear, but I would suggest to install it on Windows 2000 Server.
