Connection errro in  between AS400 and websphere

I am trying to establish a connection between As400 and websphere but while registering a driver using Class.forName("com.ibm.as400.access.AS400JDBCDriver()").newInstance(); exception is throws. i have included jt400.jar file on the java build path however i also get this error.
I have tried with DriverManager.registerDriver(new com.ibm.as400.access.AS400JDBCDriver()); but nothing happend in my code please help me out if this problem.

here is my sample code

//NOTE   -  :    after this line I am getting exception

DriverManager.registerDriver(new com.ibm.as400.access.AS400JDBCDriver());



prop = new Properties();
prop.put("user", "XXXXX");
prop.put("password", "XXXXX");
               
connection1 = java.sql.DriverManager.getConnection("jdbc:as400://HOSTNAME", prop);
