Browse All TopicsMy production server running on 32 bit machine and websphere 5.1(jdk 1.4) application server with 8GB RAM .These days my server is down due to MemoryOurOfErr . I tried so many ways to increase jvm heap size ,but no use .I hear ed that in 32 bit machine jvm have capability of 2GB RAM . Is it possible to run multiple instance of jvm for websphere ? .Please advise me how i want to increase my server performance .

You might want to see the cause of the out-memory-error using a profiler. MIght be issues with the code, where there are cross-ref between class which make them ineligible for garbage collection.
