Monitoring Datasource connection in WebSphere

Hi,

We have a monitoring tool called QPasa for monitoring WebSphere Application Server V6.1 on windows.

I am planning to create a trigger for datasource connection failures, i.e. whenever the datasource connection fails with the database, the trigger has to send an email alert to the WAS Admin.

However, I would like need to know which attributes in the datasource are to be considered for monitoring the database connection failures.

So, if anyone has configured their WAS monitoring tools to monitor the database connection failures with the Websphere, can you please help me in moving forward at this situation.
