The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

iAS restart didn't help.
You can try JSP Application  at URL http://as.stk.cz:7777/psh/static/index.jsp
How to fix it?

your error is because your system is not connecting to your Oracle database..
you sure your Oracle Dbase is up and can be connected from your app server?

HI, you are right, the error was caused  by one of the two databases connected to the JSERV on Application server. After several hours of investigation (reinstalling, changing configurations, ports, etc., in the Application server!!) I have found out that second database Oracle 9.2.0.5 (on other HW server) did not reply and the pending connections filled up the OC4J. But I did not communicate with this wrong DB, I tried to connect to the first DB,  but ubiquitous crawlers have initialized immediately after start of OC4J ($ opmnctl startall ) many connections to the wrong DB and without any notice blocked the whole JSERV and I was desperate  that JSERV did not work several seconds after start. What I find being very wrong  is that fact, that no log indicated congestions with pending sessions to the inoperable DB, and it was  indicated as "oc4j_socket_recvfull timed out"  in protocol ajp13 between Apache and JSERV, even the failure was further.  As far as I experinced the Oracle error messages are often very misguiding!!.
Snipett from /home/oracle/ora10ias1/opmn/OC4J~home~default_island~1
08/02/29 16:06:19 Oracle Application Server Containers for J2EE 10g (9.0.4.0.0) initialized
08/03/30 00:53:55 java.lang.OutOfMemoryError.  File omnp.log was completely empy!
Many thanks for your help.

yup it can be misleading..
But If I ever see a error with socket connections and a timeout, the first line of investigation is always connectivity.
